The family film follows young Kat Harvey (Christina Ricci) as she moves into a haunted mansion with her father, Dr. James Harvey (Bill Pullman), a widowed afterlife therapist hired to rid the sprawling estate of its ghostly inhabitants. Known as Whipstaff Manor, the spirit-infested residence is home to the mischievous Ghostly Trio, as well as Casper, the kind-hearted ghost of a lonely boy who longs to befriend Kat.
