If things had gone differently, David Tennant could have been the face of another major franchise. When asked by a fan about which superhero he would like to play at MCM Comic Con (viaComicBookMovie), the former "Doctor Who" star shared he was interested in playing Reed Richards, aka Mister Fantastic, in the upcoming Marvel tentpole "The Fantastic Four: First Steps." Although the role went to Pedro Pascal, Tennant had no hard feelings about missing out on the part. Don't Let Them Win' "In terms of superheroes, I did slightly have my eye on Reed Richards and unfortunately, it looks like they've gone in a different direction," Tennant said. "Although if it has to be someone, I'm very happy for it to be Pedro Pascal." "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" hits theaters July 25. Alongside Pascal as the titular shapeshifting hero, the film stars Vanessa Kirby as Susan Storm (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch), Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing), Julia Garner as Silver Surfer and Ralph Ineson as Galactus. After the debut of "The Fantastic Four," comic book fans will have to wait until the release of "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" on July 31, 2026, for another Marvel installment. The gap is the longest drought between MCU films since 2019's "Spider-Man: Far From Home" and 2021's "Black Widow." The expanded break is due to therecent delayof the highly anticipated "Avengers: Doomsday." The film, which features the largest team-up of MCU heroes to date, was originally set to release on May 1, 2026, but has been pushed back to Dec. 18, 2026. Its sequel, "Avengers: Secret Wars," was also delayed from May 7, 2027, to Dec. 17, 2027. In a Mumsnet poll under her post, 94 percent of the more than 2,000 voters selected "You are NOT being unreasonable" as their option. "You have been clear, and he decided he'd strong arm you into doing his will by presenting you this option," one reader commented. "He shouldn't have brought her. I'd be telling him if he doesn't back off he won't be invited either. I can only imagine why your mother left him and this is perhaps an example of his behavior of why." Most Mumsnet users agreed, with one replying, "Tell him not to mention her again in conjunction with your wedding. You have made yourself crystal clear. How selfish of him to be hassling you like this. Awful behavior." Read the original article onPeople

'Little House on the Prairie' Star Reveals if She'll Return for the Netflix RemakeNew Foto - 'Little House on the Prairie' Star Reveals if She'll Return for the Netflix Remake

Fans of the originalLittle House on the Prairiewill no doubt rememberAlison Arngrim. Arngrim, 63, played resident mean girl Nellie Oleson on the series from 1974 to 1982. Though her character was often regarded as bratty and manipulative, she certainly left her mark on the beloved show. "I've had people just go off about how much they hated me and how they wanted to punch me in the face," Arngrim toldCloser Weeklyin an interview published earlier this week. Arngrim's Nellie andMelissa Gilbert's Laura Ingalls hated each other on screen, but they're still very much a part of each other's lives to this day. "We're always talking and texting. She's in New York, but she's come on the podcast. She's just a riot. She's married toTimothy Busfieldand those two are perfect together. It hasn't changed when we talk. I mean, we still have weird inside jokes, crack up and make fun of people. It's like it has not changed at all," Arngrim gushed. As for returning to the prairie, the longtime actress has some thoughts. "It is not a reboot. It will not be exactly like our show in the '70s. And it shouldn't be. That would be terrible! I think it is going to be very much like the books," Arngrim explained of the upcoming Netflix adaptation. "Very historical. If this was aStar Warsthing, I'd call it a prequel. It's going to go all the way back to when Laura was very young. I think that could be really good." 🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬 On making a cameo, she said, "Of course! I've always said, 'I'm old enough to be Mrs. Oleson now, so call me.' The show has to obviously become its own thing, get its own footing with its own people. They have to find people who are good and will have the same kind of incredible chemistry together that we had."
