"Duck Dynasty" starPhil Robertsonhas died at the age of 79, his family announced on Sunday. Robertson, famous for founding the Duck Commander hunting company that became the focus of his A&E show, had previously battled multiple health conditions, including Alzheimer's disease. The TV personality's daughter-in-law Korie Robertson announced his death on Instagram Sunday night. "We celebrate today that our father, husband, and grandfather, Phil Robertson, is now with the Lord," Korie Robertson's post read. "He reminded us often of the words of Paul, 'you do not grieve like those who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him," the post continued. 'Duck Dynasty' Star Phil Robertson Forces Himself To Eat As He Battles Alzheimer's, Plans To 'Keep The Faith' Korie Robertson added that the family will have a private service but will share details "about a public celebration of his life." Read On The Fox News App "Thank you for the love and prayers of so many whose lives have been impacted by his life saved by grace, his bold faith, and by his desire to tell everyone who would listen the Good News of Jesus," she added. "We are grateful for his life on earth and will continue the legacy of love for God and love for others until we see him again." Years before becoming famous on television, Robertson played football at Louisana Tech. He was a starting quarterback while NFL legend Terry Bradshaw was his backup. Robertson later founded Duck Commander in 1972. The "Duck Dynasty" television show premiered 40 years later, in 2012, before it ended in 2017. During a December episode of"Unashamed with the Robertson Family,"Robertson's diagnosis withAlzheimer's diseasewas announced. His son Willie Robertson later spoke with Fox News Digital by phone, saying that Phil was "battling a lot of different things right now." 'Duck Dynasty' Star Phil Robertson Diagnosed With Alzheimer's Disease "He's got a blood disorder, and then he's got the mental issues that could be early [on-set] Alzheimer's … and probably some ministrokes because of his blood," Willie explained. "And so, it could be some stroke stuff happening, that has happened. So, we're still checking on all that." "But then he also has a back issue. He's fractured his back and that's where the pain's at. So, he's kind of battling many different things at the same time." In April, Robertson's family members opened up about the patriarch's health condition again, which appeared grim. "The No. 1 question I get everywhere I go [is], 'How's your dad doing?' Now, I'm just giving the blunt truth. I say, 'Not good,'" son Jase Robertson said. He added, "We're making him comfortable and we're doing the best we can. I think that's just what you do." Fox News Digital's Elizabeth Stanton contributed to this report. "MobLand" episode 9 recap: Blood nearly drawn at a tense dinner showdown in 'Beggars Banquet'

Luke Varley/Paramount+ Given thatlast week'sMobLandconcluded with the shocking murders of Fisk (Luke Mably) and Mukasa (Gemma Knight Jones), you'd be justified in having a hazy memory of anything that happened before that bloody cliffhanger. But one of the episode's more significant, albeit far more subtle, mysteries presented itself about 20 or so minutes prior, when Maeve (Helen Mirren) mentioned Kevin's "other brother." With Brendan (Daniel Betts) freshly butchered by Richie's (Geoff Bell) Mexican cartel associates, what other male sibling was Maeve referring to? Well, episode 9 of the crime drama, dubbed "Beggars Banquet", answers that question with its very first line. "Morning son, let's have a little chat," Conrad (Pierce Brosnan) says as he wakes Eddie (Anson Boon) in his bedroom. We're not privy to the conversation, but based on the next scene, which finds Eddie pouring a flask into his morning coffee, Conrad clearly wasn't just rousing him for breakfast. While we ruminate on that bombshell, Bella (Lara Pulver) asks Paul (Emmett J. Scanlan) to do her a favor he's not comfortable with. The Harrigan henchman reluctantly helps sneak her off the property so she can make her meeting with Antoine in London. When we return to Conrad, he's having another little chat, this time with Harry (Tom Hardy). They discuss the upcoming sit-down with Jaime Lopez (Jordi Molla) regarding the Harrigans' plan to steal Richie's piece of the fentanyl pie. Given Conrad's troubled past with the cartel leader's deceased dad, the two wonder if they might be walking into a trap. Following the opening credits, we get some closure on last episode's blood-soaked conclusion. Former Deputy Chief Inspector Colin Tattersall (Toby Jones) is holding a press conference regarding Fisk and Mukasa's murders; of course, he lies about the circumstances surrounding their deaths. He also uses the platform to announce he'll be taking over the organized crime task force. After the press conference, Tattersall meets with Alice (Emily Barber). We learn that Jan's (Joanne Froggatt) fake friend's real name is Nicola. She's been working undercover for eight years and has no problem bending the rules — including planting evidence — to put her marks behind bars. Alice/Nicola initially tells Tattersall she won't risk her life by going to the Harrigans' place for dinner, but the equally corrupt lawman tempts her with a promotion and credit for putting Conrad away. Back in the Cotswolds, Maeve and Gina (Teddie Allen) are taking a lovely stroll through the horse stables. Things turn ugly fast, however, when the Harrigan matriarch informs Harry's daughter that she's seen everything her and Eddie have been up to via security cameras. She then tells the mortified girl she'll eat her eyes and have her tongue if she doesn't steer clear of her grandson/stepson. Meanwhile, Conrad, Harry, Seraphina (Mandeep Dhillon), and Paul arrive at the Falkland Arms pub, where they're to meet with Jaime. The two crime bosses sit across from each other, but Conrad does all the talking. He tells Jaime he doesn't blame him for Brendan's death, as he understands he was just a "tool" following Richie's orders. He also unconvincingly apologizes for insulting his deceased dad many years ago. Seraphina lays out the specifics of the deal, stressing the Harrigans can offer the cartel twice what Richie was paying for the fentanyl trade. Jaime won't look at Conrad or Seraphina, but instead addresses Harry directly. He tells the fixer he'll think about the deal. Conrad pipes back up, telling Jaime he has just four hours to make a decision. Speaking to Harry again, Jaime says, "No wonder Kat wants you. And no wonder you want to leave." Another awkward meeting is taking place in London, where Bella and Antoine are moving forward with their shady deal. The two are joined by Bella's dad, Home Secretary Suri Sharma, and an apparent Syrian arms dealer. Before the group gets down to business, though, a close-up of Antoine's tie reveals a hidden camera secretly recording the proceedings. When the episode finally catches us up with Kevin (Paddy Considine), the troubled Harrigan son is sitting outside the nursing home having another flashback of Rusby (Nigel Lindsay) raping him. When the retired prison guard exits the facility, Kev pretends to be his rideshare driver. Upon learning that Rusby lives alone in Plaistow, Kevin takes him home. When they arrive, he politely asks to use Rusby's bathroom. Inside, Harrigan confronts his abuser, but the man has no recollection of Kevin or his 1998-2002 stint in Newgate Prison. Rusby claims to suffer from memory gaps, but still apologizes to his victim. As Rusby talks of finding god and becoming a better man, Kev screws a silencer onto his pistol. Rusby begs for his life, leading Harrigan to frustratingly let him go. But as Harrigan begins sobbing, the old man tries to comfort him by asking him if he has children. This sets Kevin off, prompting him to put a bullet between his abuser's eyes. When we return to Tattersall, he's convening with Richie, giving the crime boss the lowdown on Alice's/Nicola's upcoming dinner at the Harrigans'. He tells Stevenson the undercover officer won't be wearing a wire, but will have a smartphone outfitted with a listening device. Tattersall will also support her with a nearby tactical team in case things go south. Richie tells the lawman that Harry is smart, but unhappy with his current employment with Conrad. He claims to have been told this by Maeve, with whom he says he's old friends. Or at least he was, before having Brendan brutally executed. Stevenson tells Tattersall to get the Harrigans into London, and he'll take care of the rest. "Leave it to me, Lionheart," the inspector replies. Meanwhile, at the Harrigan mansion, Harry gets a call from Jaime. He tells the fixer he'll accept Conrad's deal, but only if Harry takes care of the rat they have in their camp. Harry gets off the phone, tells Seraphina that Jaime has accepted the terms, but doesn't share the rat caveat. He then gets on the horn with Harrigan family attorney O'Hara. She tells Harry she believes getting into the fentanyl business is a bad idea, an opinion Archie shared just before Conrad killed him. Harry pauses, then responds by demanding she meet him the next morning. Harry quickly gets a taste of his own medicine when a call comes in from Kat McAllister (Janet McTeer). He immediately tells her how grateful Harrigan is for her brokering the meeting between him and Jaime. But she doesn't care about Conrad. "Harry, it's you and me now.", she says matter-of-factly before insisting he not be late for a meeting with her in London the next day. Harry might be indebted to Kat, but at least Conrad appreciates his sacrifice. Harrigan meets with his loyal fixer to tell him he's deposited a nice bonus into his bank account. He also shakes Harry's hand and thanks him for facilitating the deal. But his gratitude soon turns to a grilling. He questions why Harry killed Freddie (Bradley Turner), then asks him what Jaime was referring to when he said Harry wanted to leave. But just as Harry asks his boss if he's doubting his loyalty, Seraphina interrupts to announce Alice's/Nicola's arrival. Jan's faux friend arrives with a big smile and a bottle of champagne, but things go downhill quickly from there. As dinner kicks off, Maeve suggests that Eddie check on Gina, who's apparently not feeling well. Both Jan and Harry glare at the Harrigan boy. Maeve continues to cause trouble, asking Alice about her marital problems. While she offers the nervous, undercover officer advice, she inappropriately gropes Eddie's thigh. The conversation gets more awkward when Conrad shoots Seraphina a quick wink, prompting her to directly question Alice about what she knows of the Harrigan family. Seraphina presses her, asking if she was afraid to attend the dinner. Maeve rejoins the conversation to suggest that Conrad only invited her over to add another notch to his bed post. As the family begins bickering, Alice/Nicola excuses herself from the table. She heads to the home's entryway, where Maeve had previously placed her empty wine glass. She collects the cup — which also contains Conrad's doused cigar — and seals it in a plastic bag. Harry catches her in the act and calls her out for planning to plant fake DNA evidence. She cops to the accusation, but tells Harry the police are only a minute away. He allows her to keep the tainted evidence and tells her to leave. Back in the dining room, the family argument escalates. Conrad screams at Maeve, insisting Eddie tell everyone what he shared about her earlier. Seated between Maeve and Seraphina, Eddie looks uncomfortable and a bit terrified. Conrad speaks for him, revealing that his wife leaked the whereabouts of Archie's corpse. He goes on to say Maeve also led Richie right to Brendan and Seraphina in Antwerp. Maeve doesn't deny the accusations, but rather doubles down, admitting she'd actually intended for her stepdaughter to be "chopped up." Conrad rises and pulls a steak knife on his wife. She breaks a wine bottle and wields its jagged edge toward her husband. Before any blood is spilled, however, the sound of sirens and a hovering helicopter stops them. They initially panic, but then decide to resume acting like a "normal" family before the police barge in. With the dysfunctional clan back at their dinner seats, the tactical team busts through the door. They arrest Conrad and Maeve on suspicion of murder. As the couple is escorted out, Maeve begins loudly singing "20 Men from Dublin Town." Conrad soon joins the chorus of the Irish folk song, proudly belting it out alongside his wife. While the two are put into separate police cars, Tattersall watches from the back seat of another cruiser. Inside the house, Gina watches the chaos from her bedroom before turning to Harry and hugging him tightly. The episode's final shot returns us to the dining room, which is now illuminated by the helicopter's searchlight. Jan sits alone at the table, stunned and bathed in the bright beam shining through the window. Read the original article onEntertainment Weekly

Who Died in 'The Last of Us' Season 2 Finale Tonight?New Foto - Who Died in 'The Last of Us' Season 2 Finale Tonight?

They say there are only two things inevitable in life: Death and paying taxes. Luckily for the people populating the post-apocyalyptic world ofThe Last of Us, the latter is out of the picture for them. But that's because they have much more to worry about, namely the chance of dying via the hordes of infected via the cordyceps pandemic. But the danger isn't just contained to those with fungi sprouting out of their heads. As Season 2 of the hit HBO drama proved, there is plenty of bloodshed that can occur not from the infected, but other humans. Fans were reminded harshly of this fact in Episode 2 of this most recent season, which saw the shocking death of one of the series' main protagonists Joel (Pedro Pascal) at the hands of Abby (Kaitlyn Dever), who was looking to get revenge for her father's death five years ago. But as things came to a close forThe Last of UsSeason 2, and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) sought out her own revenge story, plenty of blood was spilled, both friend and foe. And, if the season's ending is any indication, there's much more to come. Here's a spoiler-filled recap of everyone who died in tonight's Season 2 finale ofThe Last of Us. 🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬 In the Season 2 finale, Ellie was finally able to ascertain the location of Abby, who she had traveled into Seattle to find. However, upon reaching the aquarium, she was disappointed to instead see two members of the "Salt Lake City crew," the group that joined her in exacting her revenge against Joel. One of them is Owen (Spencer Lord), who, during the brief time we spent with him in Season 2, was personified as one of the cooler heads of the crew.As he reminds Ellie while she holds him at gunpoint, he was the one that let her live, convincing Abby to back down after Ellie was forced to watch her father figure's drawn-out death in front of her. Ellie does not soften her stance, however, tersely telling him to point out Abby's location on a nearby map. Despite Owen's soft skills, he takes a hard stance when he feints for the map, instead grabbing a gun. And it ends up being a life-ending error, as Ellie reflexively shoots him through the neck, immediately killing him. However, given the final moments of Season 2, which flashes back to Abby's perspective when Ellie and Dina first arrive in Seattle, there's a good chance we'll get to know more about Owen prior to his death in Season 3. Tragically, Owen is not alone when Ellie encounters him, nor is he alone in crossing over to the other side. From the brief time we saw of Mel (Ariela Barer) prior to the finale, she was by far the most hesitant member of the Salt Lake City crew. Her character description reads that she's "a doctor in the WLF, committed to her role while struggling with the realities of war, reluctant to hurt others." Indeed, when Ellie comes upon her and Owen, they're arguing as to whether he should possibly be going behind enemy lines in search of Abby, as she does not want him to put himself in mortal danger. And, as we find out soon enough, there's a good reason for that. While Ellie only meant to take out Owen, she soon realizes the bullet passed through him into a nearby locker. What's more, it nicked Mel's neck, as she hits the ground, profusely bleeding out. It's then Ellie – and the audience – has a devastating revelation: Mel is pregnant. In her final moments, Mel tries to get Ellie to rescue her baby, talking her through how to conduct an impromptu C-section with a knife. But, whether out of abject shock, or continuing her insatiable bloodlust, Ellie does not grant that request. And so Mel, and her child, both die. Much like Owen, it's assumed that we'll get more of Mel through flashbacks in the beginning of Season 3. Related:Former Nickelodeon Star Shocks in Surprise Cameo on 'The Last of Us' With two of the Salt Lake City crew dead, it was only natural that Abby would continue to seek to even the numbers. And the variable in that equation, sadly, ended up being Jesse (Young Mazino). Since being introduced in the Season 2 premiere, Jesse has been looked upon as a pillar of the Jackson community, a force of stability in line to be the next leader. On top of that, he had built almost a sibling-like dynamic with Ellie, as well as an on-again, off-again relationship with Dina (Isabela Merced). The finale shone a major spotlight on Jesse, after it was revealed in Episode 5 that him and Tommy (Gabriel Luna) had snuck away to Seattle to retrieve Ellie and Dina. He discovered that Dina was pregnant with his child, and insisted to Ellie that he couldn't die in order to be a future father. He admonished what he felt was Ellie's "selfish" choice to go to Seattle, relating to his own experience where he chose not to run away with a woman he fell in love with to serve his role in Jackson. However, despite disapproving her decision to pursue Abby, he does come and retrieve her after Owen and Mel's deaths. Decompressing in their makeshift hideout, Jesse admitted to Ellie, "If I was out there, lost and in trouble, you would set the world on fire to save me." And it seems like Ellie will have yet another piece of kindling to add to that fire as, after things came to a head for the character, he was shot in the head on his way to investigate what was ultimately Abby's arrival. Joel's death catapulted Dina into becoming Ellie's most important connection in this world, and theThe Last of Us' secondary protagonist for Season 2. Her own close relationship with Joel led to Dina joining Ellie on her trip to Seattle. Along the way, we found out much about the new character, including the tragic loss of her family, her pregnancy and, most importantly, her feelings for Ellie. The two declared their love for one another upon arriving in Washington, though that was quickly sidelined with the arrival of Jesse, who took Dina back to their hideout after she took an arrow in the leg.Due to Dina's injury, she is largely sidelined in the finale. One notable moment, however, comes in the beginning of the episode, as she treats Ellie's wounds following the sequence of events in Episode 5. We've now discovered Ellie knows about Joel's "big lie," that he had actually killed all of the Fireflies five years ago to save her life, and prevent the world from getting a possibly cordyceps cure. And Ellie chose to tell Dina, something that gives her pause. Despite how "ride or die" Dina has been to the mission, finding out the extent of what Joel did – and why Abby was seeking revenge – seems to have changed her mind, as she responds by telling Ellie they need to go home. That does not seem to be a possibility at the moment, with Abby holding our heroes hostage. What's notable, however, is that final scene in the theater does not have any sign of Dina in it. For many reasons, it wouldn't make sense to give Dina an off-screen death, given both her prominence in the show, as well as her importance to Ellie's story. But, considering she's not being held at gunpoint alongside Tommy, it does give us pause as to where she might be in the fray. Related:Pedro Pascal Reacts to Shocking 'Last of Us' Episode Look, it is ridiculous to believe that the seemingly only person immune from cordyceps would get killed off by a gunshot in the season finale? Yes. It is even more ludicrous of an idea from a show perspective, considering that, with Joel's death, Ellie is left as the main character of the series? Absolutely.Still, given the way the episode ends, we have to entertain the possibility. After Jesse's death, Ellie finds Abby holding Tommy hostage, as she erroneously believes that he killed Owen and Mel. But Ellie tells her the truth, saying, "I was looking for you. I didn't mean to hurt them. I know why you killed Joel. He did what he did to save me. I'm the one that you want."A shocked Abby responds, "I let you live. And you wasted it." She fires the gun, and the screen cuts to black.Whether you know the video game source material or not, it's safe to say there is a very slim chance that Abby has killed Ellie. If anything, what Season 3 might consist of is actually a possibleteam-upbetween the two tortured young women. As we find out in the finale, Abby seems to have gone AWOL from a big WLF mission. We don't know the extent of her actions, but there's a chance she might want to try to enlist Ellie's help for her own plans, be it against the Seraphites or even the WLF itself. Despite what the cliffhanger may indicate, it's safe to say we'll be in store for plenty more Ellie wheneverThe Last of Usreturns for Season 3.
