After years of anticipation,Days of Our Livesfans have a reason to celebrate because Bo Brady (Peter Reckell)is finally waking up from his years-long coma and returning to Salem, alongside his wife Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso). Even better, the soap has confirmed when he will awaken, and it's sooner than you think. In the May 26-June 15 triple issue of TV Guide Magazine, the soap opera confirmed to writerStephanie Sloanethat Bo will wake up from his coma on June 2. Speaking of his return, Reckell told TVInsider, "I got to, not only in person, but in character, have these reunions and tell people how much they mean to me. The last time I was there, Bo was in a whole different state of mind, and pushing everybody away, but this is a reconnection of the characters and the history of not only Bo's children and his wife, his best friends, and his sister, but the people that are no longer there. So, these shows are really impactful that way and that's why the impact of not having John and hits you hard." The actor reflected on the loss of his costar Drake Hogestyn, tellingTVInsider, "It's still difficult to talk about because Drake touched everybody in his sphere so closely, and he was my brother and one of my best friends. Having his memorial, there was no acting required in those scenes, because you're saying things as the character that parallel your feelings in your personal relationship. When I went to John's memorial and all these emotions came up, I just wanted to run away and be by myself and feel those feelings. To have to do it as a character was really difficult." While this current return visit will be a short one, the actor has confirmed that he is interested in a more long term stint. Back in 2018, on his debut anniversary, the actor posted to Twitter: "On this day, what seems like a lifetime ago, I realized I was the luckiest man on Earth! What a gift, what a ride, it was amazing!" Now the actor has retweeted that sentiment with a bit of an addition saying, "Several of you responded by asking me to come back to DOOL. I would love to go back, the show just has to find room for me. Thanks so much for your continued support, it means a lot after all these years!! Days of Our Livesstreams weekdays on Peacock. Vessel's implosion can be heard on new video from expedition to Titanic wreckageNew Foto - Vessel's implosion can be heard on new video from expedition to Titanic wreckage

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — U.S. Coast Guard officials investigating the disappearance of an experimental submersible on its way to the Titanic wreckage in 2023 have released video recorded aboard its support ship from the moment the sound of its implosion reached the ocean's surface. The TitanvanishedJune 18, 2023, on its way to the wreck of the Titanic in the North Atlantic Ocean, setting off a five-day search that ended with authorities saying all five passengers had died when the vessel imploded. On board were Stockton Rush, CEO of the company that built the Titan, along with British explorer Hamish Harding, veteran French diver Paul Henri Nargeolet, British-Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his 19-year-old son, Suleman. The implosion sparked international debate about the future of private deep-sea travel and an ongoing Coast Guard investigation. After holdingpublic hearings in September, the Coast Guard last week released a two-and-a-half minute video showing Rush's wife, Wendy Rush, and an OceanGate employee monitoring the submersible's descent from the Polar Prince support ship. The video shows Wendy Rush and Gary Foss sitting in front of a computer. After a faint sound like a closing door, Rush asks, "What was that bang?" The Coast Guard says it believes it was the sound of the Titan's implosion reaching the surface of the ocean. About 2 minutes later, Foss says, "We've lost tracking." Concerns were raised after the implosion because of the Titan's unconventional design and its creator's refusal to submit to independent safety checks. OceanGatesuspended operationsin July 2023.

I watch it with awe, and I understand the need for that." Hecht played Susan Bunch on the series, wife of Carol Willick (Jane Sibbett), the ex-wife ofDavid Schwimmer's Ross. We're doing plays that reflect on life and hopefully make people reflect on their own lives," she says. "But long story short, I was very, very touched and excited that I can go to [the Tonys]. But more than that, I love that I'm part of this community. I think that's been my greatest sense of accomplishment, that I've stayed in this community my whole career. So I feel tremendous gratitude for that." Book Review: 'Fatherhood' studies the impact of family ties through historyNew Foto - Book Review: 'Fatherhood' studies the impact of family ties through history

The painterNorman Rockwellwas known for his depictions of calm, domestic life in America, but his home life was nowhere near those idyllic portraits. In the beginning of "Fatherhood: A History of Love and Power," Augustine Sedgewick recounts the troubles that Rockwell faced at home. The artist complained about his wife's drinking and her criticism, and once told one of his sons that he would kill himself if not for his boys. The misery endured by Rockwell kicks off Sedgewick's wide-ranging history of fatherhood, which he calls a "succession identity crises spanning thousands of years." Sedgewick's book doesn't offer a clear answer on what it means to be a father, but he offers a series of enlightening stories about how several famous figures have approached fatherhood. It's a motley assortment of dads, ranging from Plato toBob Dylan. The profiles, at times, feel disjointed, but that doesn't make the details Sedgewick unearths about how the approach to fatherhood changed over the years any less interesting. The book shows how naturalistCharles Darwin'sclose relationship with his sons helped shaped his research on natural selection. And how Dylan rewrote his happy childhood in Hibbing, Minnesota, as he gained fame and re-invented his story to fit his image. "Dylan understood, arguably before anyone else, one of the defining emotional truths of rock 'n' roll: a perfectly nice home can sometimes be the worst kind of all," Sedgewick writes. Sedgewick's book shouldn't be viewed as a guide for fathers or families, but it is a timely read for a point where family roles continue to evolve and be challenged. ___ AP book reviews:https://apnews.com/hub/book-reviews
