At the May 26 awards show, the "Snooze" hitmaker, 35, wore easily one of the best looks of the night: a sexy, lace-up corset top and skintight matching skirt. Mobility-wise, however, she floundered a bit in the set — which wasEllie Misnercouture — particularly while walking up to accept the AMA for Favorite Female R&B Artist. While taking the stage to accept the fan-voted award — she beat out Kehlani, Muni Long, Summer Walker and Tyla in the category — SZA appeared to realize in real time that thanks to her ultra-tight mermaid skirt, she could not trek the stairs at Fontainebleau Las Vegas by herself. Instead, two people helped her up to the stage, flanking her on either side. The "Broken Clocks" singer grabbed onto the helpers' arms and, after slowly walking up two stairs, tried a different approach: jumping. Thankfully, however, she teamed a pair of sparkly pasties with her black, lace-up top, so nothing but more rhinestones were revealed. She then took a moment to laugh off the almost-mishap, and dropped one of the helpers' hands to readjust her top before climbing the rest of the stairs. And once she reached the stage, she appeared almost entirely unfazed, proceeding to thank her parents and fans, ask her mom if she has lipstick in her teeth and shout-out one of the award presenters, streamerKai Cenat. When I went to John's memorial and all these emotions came up, I just wanted to run away and be by myself and feel those feelings. To have to do it as a character was really difficult." While this current return visit will be a short one, the actor has confirmed that he is interested in a more long term stint.
