Conrad Ricamora on the "How to Get Away with Murder" Costar He'll Cherish 'for the Rest of My Life' (Exclusive)
Hulu Conrad Ricamora tells PEOPLE that there is one friendship from his time onHow to Get Away with Murderhe will cherish forever Ricamora starred in the Shonda Rhimes legal drama as computer hacker Oliver Hampton "My friendship with Jack [Falahee] is something that I'll take away for the rest of my life," the actor says Conrad Ricamoramade a forever friend on set. The actor, 46, tells PEOPLE at the 2025Tony Awards"Meet the Nominees" event that there is one friendship from his time onHow to Get Away with Murderhe will cherish forever. Ricamora had his breakthrough role in theShonda Rhimeslegal drama, which aired for six seasons from 2014 to 2020. He played computer hacker Oliver Hampton, who quickly entered a relationship with law student Connor Walsh, played byJack Falahee. The couple struggled with many challenges throughout their relationship as Connor, part of the Keating Five, became embroiled in a series of crimes. However, the two tied the knot in the final season. Falahee and Ricamora's onscreen chemistry made its way off screen, as they developed a close friendship. "My friendship with Jack [Falahee] is something that I'll take away for the rest of my life," Ricamora says while looking back on the hit show. ABC The actor also shares a favorite memory from working on the series, which involved a cast trip. "It's been a while," he says. "But when we were in the third season, we took this group trip to Santa Barbara and all stayed at the same resort." While there, Ricamora remembers going bowling and hanging out by the pool with his costars, including Falahee,Matt McGorry,Karla SouzaandAja Naomi King. "It was just so, so much fun," he says. "That show changed all of our lives so intensely. We couldn't leave the house the same way that we could before that show, but I love them so much." Ricamora and Falahee recently looked back on their characters' intense relationship in a March interview withEntertainment Weekly, in which Falahee said they had instant chemistry. "I feel like it benefited both of us that Conrad and I both came from the world of theater and were able to approach it in that way, just trusting each other," theMercy Streetactor shared. "We had mutual friends. So, there was some connective tissue there." Ricamora, however, noted the complex feelings he had about the show airing. "Shooting something is one thing and then having it released is another thing," he said, explaining that releasing the show "out into the world" opens it up to outside opinions. Despite their tight friendship, Falahee revealed in an interview withUs Weeklythat the two took a "break" after the series concluded. "He's a rock star and one of the loves of my life," the actor said of Ricamora. "It was bizarre. We needed a break after the show wrapped — and it was a very intense union with the two of us on screen." It is currently playing a record-breaking run at the Lyceum Theatre. Speaking with PEOPLE about the play, the actor said, "It's the most infuriating thing to work opposite of Cole as Mary. Working with Cole as an actor and writer is a dream come true. But having to show up to the theater every day and try to control this wild, feral animal that is Cole Escola's Mary Todd Lincoln has been the greatest challenge of my life."
