Chloe Fineman says they 'begged Dana Carvey' to do "SNL" Jennifer Coolidge impression

John Nacion/Variety via Getty; Paul Morigi/Getty; Emma McIntyre/Getty Chloe Finemanhas explained how that amazingtripleJennifer Coolidgeimpression — Fineman,Dana Carvey, and hostAriana Grande— landed onSaturday Night Live. "I didn't even think we were gonna do that sketch and then Ariana really wanted to do Jennifer Coolidge," Fineman explains on Wednesday's episode ofThe Jennifer Hudson Show. "And then we begged Dana Carvey, and he's like, Yeah, I'll do it.' And we all have a very different impression, and it's magic." The October 2024 sketch that resulted shows the three impersonatingThe White Lotusstar in a parody of an ad for Maybelline — specifically a Maybelline longwear liquid lip product, or something like that, that goes on like a dream. Grande appears as Fineman's reflection in the mirror, as both are draped in fluffy pink robes and beneath a pile of blonde hair. Near the end,SNLlegend Carvey, who was part of the cast from 1986 to 1993, popped up as a third Coolidge. See the full sketch below. It ends with all three putting the lip product — they finally settle on the name "lip lasting long, long lip color, ultimate plumper gloss-colored liquid lip color" — on each other. Carvey revealed just after the sketch aired that he'd taken on the part at the last minute. "They threw it at me Thursday night," theWayne's Worldstar told cohostDavid Spadeon theirSuperflypodcast, a spinoff series of their popular seriesFly on the Wall."They explained to me that the character was like a Snow White thing, that my Jennifer Coolidge had been trapped in the mirror for 100 years." Carvey noted that "it was kind of an acid-y, esoteric sketch. I still don't quite understand it, but that was fun." He also noted that, between dress rehearsal and the live show, the sketch had been trimmed. "One was we eat corn," Carvey said on the podcast. "It was a lot wilder, it was amazing. It was a non sequitur like, 'Hey. Wow. Let's eat some corn.' They suddenly have corn. 'Can I have your corn?'" During her own interview, Fineman said she has a new obsession. "I'm really intoGabby Windeyright now." Fineman said. She suspects the formerBachelorettestar is "our next Jennifer Coolidge." Kevin Costner sued by stunt performer over alleged "Horizon 2" unscripted rape scene

Warner Bros. /Courtesy Everett Collection Kevin Costner, the production companies behind his four-partHorizon: An American Sagafilm series, and 10 additional, unnamed individuals involved in producingHorizon Chapter 2have been sued by a stunt performer for alleged sexual harassment, discrimination, creating a hostile work environment, and more. Stunt performer Devyn LaBella filed the suit on Tuesday in California Superior Court. The complaint, obtained byEntertainment Weekly, alleges that Labella, who was hired as a stunt double for star Ella Hunt, became subject on May 2, 2023, to a "violent unscripted, unscheduled rape scene directed by Kevin Costner." TheBodyguardstar not only acts in the first twoHorizonfilms, but also directed, co-wrote, and co-produced them. This "impromptu work demand," according to the complaint, violated provisions in both LaBella's SAG-AFTRA contract that prohibit last-minute requests for nudity or simulated sex, as well as in Hunt's contract, which requires the presence of an intimacy coordinator for all such scenes. As a third-party beneficiary to Hunt's contract, the complaint alleges the provision extends to LaBella. "On that day, I was left exposed, unprotected, and deeply betrayed by a system that promised safety and professionalism. What happened to me shattered my trust and forever changed how I move through this industry," LaBella wrote in a statement shared with EW. "This experience has ignited in me a lifelong mission to be the advocate I once needed, ensuring no one else is ever left as vulnerable as I was." James A. Vagnini, LaBella's attorney, noted in a statement shared with EW that Tuesday's suit was "filed not only for the damages Plaintiff has sustained, but to address the continued failures at the highest levels of Hollywood production companies to comprehend and address the impacts of performing in sexually explicit and violent 'scenes' and the need for intimacy coordination." Costner's attorney, Martin D. Singer, responded to the suit in a statement shared with EW by insisting Costner "always wants to make sure that everyone is comfortable working on his films and takes safety on set very seriously. However, this claim by Devyn LaBella has absolutely no merit, and it is completely contradicted by her own actions — and the facts." Singer's statement refers to LaBella as "a serial accuser of people in the entertainment industry [who] has worked with the same lawyer on past claims" and claims that "the facts are clear and we are beyond confident that Kevin will prevail." Randy Shropshire/Getty In addition to sexual discrimination, sexual harassment, and the creation of a hostile work environment, LaBella's suit alleges an additional sexual harassment claim, failure to remedy or prevent harassment and discrimination, retaliation in violation of the Fair Employment and Housing Act, interference with the exercise of LaBella's civil rights, infliction of emotional distress, and breach of contract. LaBella and her attorneys are asking for a jury trial. Want more movie news? Sign up forEntertainment Weekly's free newsletterto get the latest trailers, celebrity interviews, film reviews, and more. Costner and the production companies behindHorizonare facing a separate arbitration claim alleging breaches to a deal, which wasfiled earlier this monthby New Line Cinema. The production company that co-financed the series with Horizon Series, Costner's loan-out company, is demanding repayment after City National Bank initiated arbitration proceedings. Costner hasspent upwards of $38 millionof his own money financing the series, which cost a reported$100 milliontotal to produce, and has so fargrossedroughly $38 million globally. PEOPLE caught up with the actor, 46, at the film's premiere on Tuesday, May 27, during which he discussed bringing his 5-year-old daughter,Juno, whom he shares withJodie Turner-Smith, on set. The actor said that bringing the toddler to watch him film the project turned out to be a "really stupid thing" to do. Jodie Turner-Smith/ Instagram "That was really dumb," he explains. "She did not like seeing her dad get beat up. So I don't think I'll watch it with her in the theatrical run, but within a couple years I think we'll be okay." Jackson says that he believes "that was the first time I'd ever brought her to work." While things might not have worked out as planned, the proud dad says that they already have some plans for summer. "She graduates from school or from [Transitional Kindergarten] TK in a couple of weeks, and then we got some summer camp and we'll figure it out after that," he says. Twisted contortionist kicks off "America's Got Talent" season 20: 'Never seen that in my life ever' Simon Cowell says

Trae Patton/NBC America's Got TalentjudgeSimon Cowellhas seen it all, or so you would think. Having judged contestants not only on the NBC series but also on shows such asAmerican Idol,The X Factor, and their various international versions, it takes a lot to shock him. But even Cowell was floored Tuesday on the premiere's ofAGT's 20th season when Amadou Diallo took the stage. The 20-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, who's originally from Guinea, bent his body in astonishing ways, even popping his ribs and other body parts out of place. He sometimes had the judges feel a certain spot precisely when it was happening. Cindy Ord/NBC "I genuinely have never seen that in my life, ever," Cowell said. "I love the look on your face. It was like:This is just normal. Everyone is gonna be talking about this when they see it. I promise you." His fellow judges were just as stunned as he was. "I don't think anybody has ever seen anything like that before in their entire lives,"Mel Breplied to Cowell. "That was un-freaking-believeable!" JudgesSofia VergaraandHowie Mandelwere also amazed. "I am in shock," Vergara added. "I mean, we've seen a lot of contortionism on this show, but he took it to another level." The contestant's local newspaper,The Columbus Dispatch, reported that he put in a lot of hard work to perfect his act. Since arriving in the U.S. a year ago, he worked two jobs, from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. five days a week, then squeezed in rehearsals afterward. It paid off, as he received four yes votes to remain in the competition. And he wasn't the only contestant to drop jaws. Two acts received a Golden Buzzer, which sends them directly to the live shows later in the season. On an episode in which the judges saw acts including aerialists on roller skates, a David Blaine-inspired magician, and a pickle-juice guzzler (don't ask), Mandel awarded his to a singer: Jourdan Blue, a 23-year-old busker in New Orleans. Blue's take on The Script's hit "Breakeven" was a judges' favorite — and the audience was smitten with it too. "I mean, I'm in love with you," Vergara said. "The hair, the voice, your energy. You're a rock star!" Sign up forEntertainment Weekly's free daily newsletterto get breaking TV news, exclusive first looks, recaps, reviews, interviews with your favorite stars, and more. Mel B noted that the performance made her feel like she was hearing the song for the first time. Before hitting the buzzer, Mandel said, "You know, this is season 20. I've seen dreams come true right where you're standing. Lives changed right where you're standing. And that stage and that moment can take you anywhere. And this is just the beginning of where you can go." LightWire, a Brazilian act that creates immersive art was Cowell's pick for the honor. The entire space was stunned by the illusion of water gushing and animals moving toward the audience. "Wow, wow, wow," Cowell exclaimed. "You know what? You never, ever, ever know when you're doing a new year, whether you're gonna see something better than you've seen before, and I'm not just saying this, this was one of the most beautiful, stunning acts." America's Got Talentairs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and streams the next day on Peacock. Read the original article onEntertainment Weekly
