Since becoming amother to Louetta in April 2023, Willis tells PEOPLE that her appreciation for her own mother has deepened. "My appreciation for my mom, has always been there, but I think inherently [and] inevitably, it has to just deepen. And I also think the way that you love your child just reminds you, 'Oh wow, my mom, that's how she loves me,' " she says, referring to her relationship with Moore, 62. "I think it's just made us so much closer." "Watching Louetta get hurt, whether she's sick or going through an emotional, is one of the most excruciating things," she adds, saying motherhood has made her look back at the times in her own life where she's been hurting and imagine how her mother felt watching her go through it. "I just have such appreciation and deep love, and I think it's made us so much closer in a way that's been so beautiful." Over the last two years, Willis has learned a lot about herself through motherhood. She shares that in terms of parenting, people "always go in with the best of intentions and best laid plans," but now understands that perfect parenting is "impossible to a certain level." "Everything is a negotiation. I think in parenting, it's like, 'how can I do the best that I can do?' " she says. "I get so emotional when I talk about her because there's nothing I wouldn't do for her." "What [everything going on in the world] has really done for me actually is focus on how I care for myself because how I care for myself is how she will learn to care for herself, and that is a huge one for me," she adds. "Sometimes as parents and just as people in general, we really race past that. And that trope about putting your oxygen mask on first in parenting is so vital." Read the original article onPeople

5 shows to watch if you're already missing 'The Last of Us'New Foto - 5 shows to watch if you're already missing 'The Last of Us'

Goodbye Joel, goodbye Ellie, goodbye zombies. The second season of HBO's acclaimed"The Last of Us"went out with a serious cliffhanger on May 25, and fans will have to wait an indeterminate amount of time until a promised Season 3 will resolve it. But just because we've had to say farewell to Ellie (Bella Ramsey) for now and Joel (Pedro Pascal) forever doesn't mean we have to leave the moody post-apocalyptic doom-and-gloom vibes behind. While "Us" is a unique and excellent series, it's not the only zombie and dystopian show worth watching to stave off the Sunday scaries. Several others capture its essence, whether they also feature zombies, share producers or because the atmosphere and writing are just that good, too. If you're jonesing for more "Us"-style TV, we've got five shows to fill the long hiatus between now and Season 3. "Us" co-creator Craig Mazin made his name with this devastating, brutal and hard-to-swallow 2019 HBO series detailing the real-life nuclear disaster in Pripyat, Ukraine, under the Soviet Union rule in the 1980s. The series is a chronicle of mismanagement and corruption, of a failed state and a broken government. Starring Jared Harris, Stellan Skarsgard, Emily Watson and Jessie Buckley, it turns the mundane and dull, like a court hearing or reading of data, into vital, tense TV. Now streaming on HBO Max "Station Eleven" has no zombies or spores, but the dystopian limited series, based on the award-winning 2014 novel by Emily St. John Mandel, looks and feels a lot like "Us" in its depiction of a world decades after a deadly pandemic. In "Eleven," which aired on HBO in 2021-22, the culprit is more mundane and more terrifying than zombieism: A bird flu that takes out the vast majority of the population. Told in multiple timelines and with lyrical and literary flair, the series asks deep questions about humanity as it follows the few people not just able to survive, but thrive. Shakespeare is involved. Now streaming on HBO Max OK, hear us out. You could watch "The Mandalorian," a gritty "Star Wars" series starringPedro Pascal, the leading man of "Last of Us," even though it's middling as far as the Disney+ "Star Wars" TV shows go. Or you could watch a much better "Star Wars" series with an equally dashing leading man (Diego Luna) with character and plotting as complex and thoughtful as "Last of Us." Other than its color palette and Rotten Tomatoes score, there isn't a lot on the surface that ties Disney+'s "Andor" (2022-25) and "Last of Us." But look deeper and you see both are about how we choose what's worth fighting for, and what makes us willing to give up our lives. It's "Star Wars" for grownups in the way that "Last of Us" is zombies for grownups. Full series now streaming on Disney+ Amid its relationship dynamics, moral quandaries and religious allegories, "Last of Us" is also a really good piece of dystopian science fiction, and there is great pleasure in learning what makes its post-infection world tick. Apple TV+'s series "Silo," which premiered in 2023, is another sci-fi drama that thrives in world building and details, set in its own post-apocalypse where humanity is reduced to 10,000 or so people living in an underground silo. It's more of a puzzle-box mystery than "Last of Us," but it has the same kind of shocking deaths, head fakes and edge-of-your-seat-action. Seasons 1 and 2 now streaming on Apple TV+ Based on the book by producer and horror maestro Guillermo del Toro, "The Strain" aired on FX for four seasons of stomach-churning viral terror from 2014-17. Following doctors battling an outbreak of a disease that has quite a lot in common with vampirism, "Strain" never said no to a gross-out moment or jump scare. It featured vampires instead of zombies, but the epidemic at the center of the story certainly puts it in the same genre. Brad Pitt Says 'My Personal Life Is Always in the News' and It's an 'Annoyance' to Deal With While Filming: 'It's Always Been' a 'Nagging Time Suck'New Foto - Brad Pitt Says 'My Personal Life Is Always in the News' and It's an 'Annoyance' to Deal With While Filming: 'It's Always Been' a 'Nagging Time Suck'

Brad Pitt graces the latest cover ofGQ magazinealongside his "F1" co-star Damson Idris and producer Lewis Hamilton. The racing movie arrives in theaters this summer after a longer-than-expected production that got shut down for an entire year amid the Hollywood strikes. Pitt was alsosettling his divorcefrom Angelina Jolie as "F1" filming came to an end at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. "My personal life is always in the news," Pitt told the publication about filming movies amid public scrutiny. "It's been in the news for 30 years, bro.Orsome version of my personal life, let's put it that way." More from Variety Brad Pitt to Star in A24's 'The Riders' Adaptation From 'Conclave' Director Edward Berger Tom Cruise Says He and Brad Pitt Would 'Go Drive Go-Karts All Night' During Breaks From 'Interview with the Vampire': 'He's a Very Good Driver' David Fincher to Direct Brad Pitt in 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' Netflix Follow-Up From a Tarantino Script When asked if filming "F1" acted as a "refuge" from all the public attention around his personal life, Pitt responded: "It's been an annoyance I've had to always deal with in different degrees, large and small, as I do the things I really want to do. So, it's always been this kind of nagging time suck or waste of time, if you let it be that. I don't know. I don't know." "Mostly I feel pretty… My life is fairly contained," Pitt added. "It feels pretty warm and secure with my friends, with my loves, with my fam, with my knowledge of who I am, that, you know, it's like this fly buzzing around a little bit." GQ then asked Pitt directly if there is "relief" now that he is "on the other side of the divorce finally being finalized," to which the Oscar winner answered: "No, I don't think it was that major of a thing. Just something coming to fruition. Legally." Pitt and Joliesettled their divorceon Dec. 30, 2024 after eight years of legal disputes. Jolie's lawyer, James Simon, said in a statement at the time: "More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family. This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over." The once-Hollywood power couple were at the center of global headlines in 2016 when an alleged physical altercation between them occurred on a private plane. Pitt allegedly "choked" one of his children, "struck another in the face" and "grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her," per Jolie's lawsuit against Pitt. She filed for divorce a few days after the alleged incident. In April 2024, Jolie's lawyer filed a claim that alleged Pitt's physical abuse"started well before"the 2016 incident. Pitt had accused Jolie in 2022 of violating "contractural rights" when she sold her half of their Château Miraval winery without his knowledge. Jolie's lawyers fired back at Pitt in their countersuit, accusing him of not allowing Jolie to sell her half of the winery unless she signed "a nondisclosure agreement that would have contractually prohibited her from speaking outside of court about Pitt's physical and emotional abuse of her and their children." With his personal life seemingly on more stable ground and "F1" arriving in theaters across the world in late June, Pitt seems reinvigorated as an actor. The Oscar winnersparked retirement rumorsin 2022 when he said he was on the "last leg" of his acting career, although helater clarifiedthat still meant he had many years left to explore his craft. "F1" proved to Pitt that retirement is certainly not imminent. "Man, I've been doing this for a while and was wondering: Do I have more stories to tell? Do I have anything to add to this? Is there still any excitement I can find from this?" Pitt told GQ. "[This film] just reinvigorated the whole thing again for me." Pitt's acting career will continue not only with "F1" this summer but also future film projects such as "Heart of the Beast," a Navy SEAL drama that reunites the actor with his "Fury" director David Ayer, and a "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" sequel in which Pitt will reprise his Oscar-winning role of Cliff Booth for director David Fincher and screenwriter Quentin Tarantino.
