Netflix has released the first trailer for the film adaptation of Richard Osman's novel "The Thursday Murder Club," directed by Chris Columbus. According to an official synopsis, "The Thursday Murder Club" follows ex-spy Elizabeth (Mirren), ex-union activist Ron (Brosnan), ex-psychiatrist Ibrahim (Kingsley) and ex-nurse Joyce (Imrie), whose casual sleuthing takes a thrilling turn when an unexpected death occurs on their doorstep. The full cast of "The Thursday Murder Club" includes Naomi Ackie, Daniel Mays, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Tom Ellis, Jonathan Pryce, David Tennant, Paul Freeman, Geoff Bell, Richard E. Grant and Ingrid Oliver. Produced by Columbus and Jennifer Todd, the film is the latest feature to come out of  Netflix's partnership with Amblin Entertainment. "The Thursday Murder Club" is co-written by Katy Brand and Suzanne Heathcote, with Osman executive producing alongside Jo Burn, Eleanor Columbus, Holly Bario and Jeb Brody. Osman's "Thursday Murder Club" book spawned a series with three sequels: "The Man Who Died Twice," "The Bullet That Missed" and "The Last Devil to Die," as well as the newest installment, "The Impossible Fortune" which will be released later this year. "The Thursday Murder Club," which was the bestselling book of the decade in the UK, follows a quartet of retirees who spend their time solving cold cases for fun. The prequel "The Terminal List: Dark Wolf" has officially set its Amazon Prime Video premiere date. The show will debut with its first three episodes on Aug. 27, followed by new episodes weekly until the season finale on Sept. 24. Chris Pratt reprises his role as James Reece in the series, with other cast members including Tom Hopper, Robert Wisdom, Luke Hemsworth, Dar Salim, Rona-Lee Shimon, Shiraz Tzarfati, and Jared Shaw. "Dark Wolf" will premiere nearly three years after the launch of "The Terminal List" Season 1. The latter show wasrenewed for a second seasonin early 2023, with that season going into production earlier this year. "Dark Wolf" is co-created by Jack Carr and David DiGilio. Carr is the author of "The Terminal List" book series that serve as the basis for the original show, while DiGilio developed "The Terminal List" for television and serves as showrunner. Both Carr and DiGilio are also executive producers on "Dark Wolf," with DiGilio showrunning the prequel as well. Kitsch is an executive producer in addition to starring, while Pratt executive produces via Indivisible Productions. No joke: Two of the funniest actors in Hollywood are officially in-laws. Eddie Murphyconfirmed during a May 29 appearance on "The Jennifer Hudson Show"that his son, Eric Murphy, has marriedMartin Lawrence'sdaughter, Jasmin Lawrence. Murphy said the couple opted against a large wedding and instead tied the knot quietly. "They got married like two weeks ago," herevealed in a clipshared by Entertainment Weekly. "Hamilton" original cast to reunite for Tony Awards performance in June

Members of the original cast of the hit Broadway musical "Hamilton" will reunite for an anniversary performance at the Tony Awards on June 8. Stars Lin-Manuel Miranda,Leslie Odom, Jr., Philippa Soo, Daveed Diggs, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Jonathan Groff, Christopher Jackson, Jasmine Cephas Jones and Okieriete Onaodowan will perform alongside other original ensemble cast members, CBS and Tony Award Productionsannouncedin a news release Thursday. The announcement did not say what the cast would perform. The performance will celebrate the record-breaking musical's 10th anniversary. "Hamilton" opened on Broadway in 2015 and became an immediate sensation. It received a record-breaking 16 nominations at the 2016 Tony Awards and took home 11, including "Best Musical." It also received aGrammy Award, an Olivier Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Afilmed version of the musicalfeaturing most of the original cast was released on Disney+ in 2020. The performance is not the only celebration of the musical's milestone year. Odom Jr. is set to return to the Richard Rodgers Theatre to reprise his role as Aaron Burr from Sept. 9 to Nov. 23. Who else will perform at the Tony Awards? Other performances have not yet been announced. Typically, shows nominated for Best Musical and Best Revival of a Musical perform. Musicals "Buena Vista Social Club," "Death Becomes Her" and "Maybe Happy Ending" were each nominated for 10 awards, including "Best Musical."
