Lemonada Media, which produces the Duchess of Sussex's podcast, revealed on Thursday, May 29, that a bonus episode will be released next week. "We had just wrappedConfessions of a Female Founderand packed up the mics — until a call came in that we couldn't ignore. On the line was one of the most influential and inspiring matriarchs in culture today. Naturally, we hit record," they shared in a social media post announcing the news. Meghan's voice also appeared in the promo. She said, "Next week, we've got one more very special interview for you. A bonus episode. Because when a matriarch calls, and whenthismatriarch calls, oh, you answer." Meghan and Lemonada kept the guest's identity a secret, but the second most fans heard the iconic voice, they knew exactly who was on the line:Tina Knowles. In a brief clip from her appearance, Knowles opens up to Meghan about why she "fights so hard" for her famous family, which, of course, includes daughtersBeyoncéandSolange, as well as her four grandchildren. "I tell them every day, since they were little girls, 'You belong anywhere you choose to be,' " she shared of her advice seemingly to her daughters, who both found fame early in life and have flourished into massively successful artists, as well as mothers in their own right. It's no mistake that the Duchess of Sussex introduces Knowles as an iconic "matriarch." It's the title of the 71-year-old fashion designer'srecent memoir, which tells her life story in her own words. Knowlesopened up to PEOPLEabout writing the book last month, admitting she was initially hesitant "because I thought [people] only want to know all my kids' business. They're not going to be interested in me." "I've lived this incredible life," she continued, "and you really don't realize it until you start writing everything down." Originally, the book was going to focus more on Knowles' life in the spotlight, from designing costumes forDestiny's Childto helping shepherd her children through the entertainment industry. But through her creative process, a deeper, more detailed story began to take shape. "When I started telling the story and listening back to what I had recorded, I was like, it's time to do a memoir, because I want to leave that legacy for my kids," she shared. "But I also want to encourage young people and older people to go and record their parents and get those stories." Meghan's connection with Knowles and her famous family goes back many years. The Duchess and Beyoncé have frequently expressed their mutual admiration for one another, meeting at theLion Kingpremiere in July 2019, where the music icondubbed Meghan "my princess." Guest Says Couple Requested Cocktail Attire at Their Rehearsal Dinner — Then Served Pizza and Beer OutsideNew Foto - Guest Says Couple Requested Cocktail Attire at Their Rehearsal Dinner — Then Served Pizza and Beer Outside

aire images/Getty A wedding guest/bridesmaid was instructed to wear cocktail attire to a couple's rehearsal dinner — but was then given pizza, outside, where she "froze [her] a-- off" in a short dress The wedding also had high dress code expectations, but had no wine service at the buffet dinner, and only offered an open bar at happy hour "Man, if you specify the dress code, you have at least to give the guest a fork," another user wrote A bridesmaid is criticizing a couple's contradictory wedding expectations. In aposton Reddit's r/weddingshaming forum, a bridesmaid shared her recent experience at a couple's rehearsal dinner, in which the dress code was listed as cocktail attire. However, the dress code didn't fit the rest of the event — dinner was extremely casual, she wrote. Held at a brewery, the rehearsal dinner was in an "outdoor seating area of a brewery with no heating," the guest wrote. The actual dinner was "a few boxes of pizza" and a drink ticket for either a beer or a non-alcoholic drink. The guest clarified that she had no problem with the laid-back vibe, but rather that the wedding couple had asked for cocktail attire for the casual event. "I froze my a-- off in very, very windy 50-degree weather and ate pizza off a cafeteria bench," she added. Getty The bridesmaid expected a similar theme for the wedding, held the next day. She had to get two dresses — a cultural dress for the three-hour ceremony, then another gown for the reception in the evening — and a professional photographer had been booked, she wrote. But the black-tie optional wedding would have no wine service at its buffet dinner, and would only offer an open bar at cocktail hour. She admitted she wasn't excited to spend her day at this wedding. "I totally get saving money and having a more casual event, but I feel like the dress code should reflect that," the bridesmaid wrote. Users in the comments agreed that "cocktail attire" should be indicative of other aspects of the wedding, like the food and venue. Some recalled rehearsal dinners they'd attended that also served pizza and beer — but also included a "casual" dress code. "A friend of mine had her rehearsal dinner at a bar arcade! We all wore jeans and T-shirts and had fun!" one wrote. "But she let us know that. I didn't have to wear a cocktail dress!" "Man, if you specify the dress code, you have at least to give the guest a fork," another wrote. Read the original article onPeople

Jenna Fischer Reveals Her 'Biggest Takeaway' After Rewatching 'The Office'New Foto - Jenna Fischer Reveals Her 'Biggest Takeaway' After Rewatching 'The Office'

Jenna Fischeris defending the later seasons of"The Office"afterSteve Carell'sexit. The actor addressed the commonly held belief that the show was going through the motions after Carell's character, Michael Scott, departed Dunder Mifflin in Season 7 (the show aired for nine seasons in total). Since starring on the show, Fischer has rewatched all of the episodes for her "Office Ladies" podcast with her former co-star Angela Kinsey. "My biggest takeaway from having rewatched it was that it's really good the whole time," Fischer said during an appearance on Dana Carvey and David Spade's comedy podcast,"Fly on the Wall,"which was released Wednesday. "I think there was this lore, especially among the cast and the creatives, that maybe we, like, hit our peak in Season 3 or Season 4," Fischer said on the podcast. "Also this belief that, like, the two seasons after Steve left, we were just treading water and maybe they weren't as good," she explained. "But when I watched everything, some of my favorite episodes were in Seasons 8 and 9 after Steve had left. There were still these amazing storylines." But Fischer did admit that some of her favorite episodes of the show were in Seasons 4 through 6, and shouted out "Dinner Party" and the Michael Scott Paper Company era as some of her most memorable episodes and storylines. She also explained why those on the show got it in their heads that they weren't being creative enough later on. "I think, you know, some of the award nominations stopped after Season 3, so I think maybe we got in our heads," Fischer explained. The show will have a second chance at perhaps correcting some of those long-held beliefs by fans,as a new iteration of "The Office"is headed to the small screen soon. Sadly, "Office" favorite Carell already has announced that he will most likely not be making an appearance. "I will be watching, but I will not be showing up," the actor said last year in an interview withThe Hollywood Reporter, before explaining why there are no hard feelings. "It's just a new thing, and there's really no reason for my character to show up in something like that." The senior royal aide said King Charles' visit to Canada, his first since acceding to the throne in 2022, "was a reset and reaffirmation of that relationship, and for Their Majesties to see so many people turn out and to be so thrilled to see them was fantastic." "Almost three years on, everyone has a clear impression of what that is and the role that he will play, one that is both traditional for the monarchy and distinct to His Majesty," the aide added. "He has dealt with his illness in a very human way, and the way he's engaging with the public at a very human level," the aide says. "I think we now have a clear idea of what the Carolean age looks like and what it stands for — now and hopefully for many years to come." The landmark moment of King Charles' Canada visit was hishistoric speech at the State Opening of Parliament, where he became only the second monarch to deliver the address following his mother,Queen Elizabeth, who did so in October 1957. His speech navigated his role as Canada's head of state and the U.K.'s allyship with the U.S. The recent election of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney was viewed as a rejection ofPresident Donald Trump's agenda amid his remarks that Canada could be "merged with the U.S." and become the "51st state." Ailsa Anderson, former press secretary to the lateQueen Elizabeth, tells PEOPLE that King Charles could "give a master class in diplomatic relations." "The speech was really well handled," says Anderson. "It could have gone off the rails, and it didn't." Read the original article onPeople
